Lasting Regional News welcomes concise proposals that help readers understand how regions are shaped by landforms, boundaries, routes, place names or connections between neighbouring places.

What to pitch

Suggest a focused explanation, comparison, background piece or reader-oriented exploration. A strong proposal names the question, the regional concept it clarifies and the main points the piece will cover.

What makes a good contribution

Keep claims proportionate, define specialist terms and distinguish general patterns from local exceptions. Avoid unsupported sweeping claims, promotional copy and advice that depends on official or local rules.

How to send a proposal

Send your pitch through the Contact page. Include a working title, a short outline, the intended category and any relevant source suggestions. A proposal is not a guarantee of publication.
